Should be higher than 37.
At his peak, possibly in the same class as Coventry's Lloyd McGrath.
One of the most underappreciated players ever
My all time favourite Liverpool player.Brilliant.
I love Rob Jones. He was my hero..
That kn0bhead Bishop, spoils these.
Great player. At his peak, possibly on a par with Billy Whitehurst.
Bob Paisley created this player in midfield.at Liverpool. He was a better player on the left midfield than Trevor Brooking sadly though he never got many Caps for England because Ron Greenwood in the 70's was an ex West Ham manager managing England and Brooking a West Ham player at the time. RIP Ray.
rip ray kennedy
Him and Barnes two best wingers we ever had
Fist Irish Catholic player to play for Liverpool FC in nearly 100 years.
Sorry, but I never liked him! #freepalestine
class act jan was and for some who said he couldn't run the goal againts them lot from down the m62 in the cup that's my fav goal from him and his passing was unreal
Jon Bishop NOT FUNNY as bad as micheal mcintyre
Worse.
third best captain for me after Hughes and Gerrard
He really did shake up the kop.
Bishop is such a muppet.
Good player but was intimidated by Jones and Whiteside. Both had him tiptoeing around them.
His goal v villa was my fav 'through the eye of a needle' as the commentator put it.
Very good player. I think he may have been Fagan’s last buy, and was definitely with an eye to Kenny’s eventual replacement. I don’t think he was quite up to being a Liverpool player though. I think the pressure of knowing he was meant to be Kenny’s replacement and the expectations that came with that were probably too much. Injuries didn’t help, but neither did his lack of professionalism off the field. His days were numbered when we brought in Barnes & Beardsley.
Very underrated player. The best step over I’ve ever seen.
I worked at a Travel Agent. Craig Johnston came in and went into the office of the boss. Doors closed and the boss wouldn't say what it was about - totally confidential. We found out later about his sisters illness and Craig leaving LFC to look after her. Our Travel Agency had booked him a one way ticket. Gutted when I found out. Although what a bloke of integrity. I watched him from the Kop. I thought he brought the game to life when there was a lull. Top player.
He's derby goal..kopites never forget
One funny thing is i watch 10 hatdest footballers vinny jones pearce keane etc etc i swear it molby was the hardest of them all
Without a shadow of doubt, he was World Class !.
I will always remember going to get the Sunday papers (The Mirror and The People) for my Mum and Dad on that August Sunday morning in 1976 and seeing "Keegan to leave Liverpool" on the back pages and thinking to myself "Its The End" ... and then some guy from Celtic turned up!.
My all time favorite player ❤
A United legend who played for Liverpool and Man City. Interesting fact.
My dad used to teach him as a kid in Barrow in Furness. I went for tea at his house on Sunday afternoon and became a Liverpool fan about 1971 or 72. He was a really lovely bloke. there’s a lovely statue of him in Barrow now RIP Emlyn.
i cannot beleive this dude was south african. Im just amazed
he was the only player tht i wish lfc should nver let go
Some player Terry Mac , loads of times he was MOTM and that was in a team with Kenny and Souey and Stevie Heighway and a few not too bad defenders too Hansen , Lawro . A real diamond . Fell out with a couple o nurses one time , but we won’t mention that
Il avait marqué contre l'Argentine en 1980.
But he did the Rat on us , why is he on the list , Man U scum!!
One of my favorites
Same as toshack
Kk07 lfc legend
So often called yates , even by the informed/commentators .
My favourite player. He was playing brilliantly in 85/86 and then got injured against the Mancs. Wasn’t quite the same after that.
Stevie, what a fantastic footballer and man, a true Red and Liverpool legend, YNWA, very underrated, but you made a massive impact on this club and us fans, magic just magic
there was a football character callad islands fıootball and players were english scotish welish and irish.... novadays sorry i do not like this premier league teams and matches at all
Why?
I have Royal Blue Blood flowing through my veins! Everton till I die! However, Mr Liddell was (in my humble opinion) the epitome of fair play and sportsmanship! A credit to his club and a credit to his adopted home city! I feel privileged to have seen him play! 💙🤍❤️
He should be much nearer the top than 35.
Before Trent he was the benchmark, Ryan Giggs’ arch nemesis
Micky Thomas was one of my life long favs. Share the same surname too, loved him even after 89, one of my 1st proper football memories but he was a red through and through
Obviously Clough signed for us before the Internet age, and it was really weird to see him just disappear from the side after SUCH a strong start. I remember being very confused and angry when he started getting dropped regularly, because I genuinely thought he had the ability to help us become classy and good again. It seemed to be an era where new signings were given very little time to adapt and settle ... with Saunders being another victim of that. Souness just didn't seem to fancy either of them ... despite spending a fortune on both.
Hard as nails, the size of Wales, Ron Yates !
Diogo Jota reminds me of David.
At 37 is a crime
Such a feel good story.
